SelfieYo for Brands: Earned Media Meets Brand Marketing and Direct-Response.

SelfieYo is an early-stage, location-based social app designed to facilitate and encourage community that connects to people, places and events in real life. We are building a platform with a combination of public and private chat capabilities that includes video, photos, audio, animation and advanced AI. At a high-level, the concept is to do our part to ensure that at least some parts of the “metaverse” are still designed to connect humans in real life communities — and in some cases, connections with brands in real life.

Let’s start with what SelfieYo is not: we are not a platform for advertising to reach a passive audience, we’re not a traditional social media marketing play for buying users. Any successful brand activation program with SelfieYo will require influencer partnerships, some level of paid media or in-store activation, and more than likely, a contest element that includes prizes or special offers.

What SelfieYo does very well is provide an adaptable app on iPhone and Android that serves as a direct-response platform for UGC. We can help you connect your physical brand product, packaging, events, physical locations (stores, restaurants, bars, hotels, etc.) with contests, coupons, time-limited offers and challenges.

We have a highly functional and growing set of capabilities including:

  • Image recognition capabilities based on the very latest in AI (see our post on GANs).
  • Direct-response in chat rooms that can acknowledge authentic contest entry.
  • APIs that allow brands and agency partners to measure, monitor and reuse UGC in custom ways connected to campaigns.
  • Tens of millions (and growing) HotSpots which create public, media-rich chat rooms for QSR locations, stores, bars, hotels, etc.
  • Deep experience in connecting digital rewards on blockchain, like NFTs and tokens, to in-app actions (although this is not quite as exciting at the moment as more IRL-focused rewards).

Additionally, SelfieYo has partnerships with music studios, emerging artists in Latin America and dance instructors influencing some of the hottest trends in dance culture across multiple continents from Africa to South America and into the United States. We are particularly interested in working with brands that have a multi-continent vision and presence.
